We seldom have beef at home and especially not so much braising beef coz it’s a little pricey and high in cholesterol. There was a promotion at the local supermarket in the week and ok, I did buy some.

I learned to make this from my mum-in-law. It was, as usual, easy.  🙂

Cooked about 800g braising beef with enough water covering the meat and 1 bayleaf for about 2½ hours. The beef would be really soft and there will be just enough sauce leftover.

We had another XL courgette. Cubed it with 1 aubergine, 1 big yellow onion and lots of tomato from the garden.

Heat up the wok, put in some sunflower oil and add in all chopped vegetables with some minced garlic. Stir-fry them for about 5 mins and add in spicy prawn mix with a little salt, some chilli flakes and coriander powder as well as abt 200ml water. Let them gently simmer for about 10 mins.

We ate the braised beef and spicy ratatouille with some nice soft mashed potatoes.  Hmmmm.. delicious..  🙂

We barely finished half of what I had made. The rest are packed and will go into the freezer for another day.
