Marinate Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp ginger juice
  • 1 1/2 tbsp hot chili sauce (Sriracha or others) – more if you like it spicy
  • 1 tsp Chinese 5-spice powder
  • 1½ tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp light soysauce
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 tbsp honey

    Marinate time 2 hrs
    Cook time ±40 mins
    Total time ±3 hrs

  1. Combine well all marinade ingredients in a mixing bowl or container with lid and add wings. Rub with fingers to combine marinade and wings well. Cover and leave to marinate in fridge for at least 2 hrs or preferably, overnite.
  2. Preheat oven to 200C.
  3. Arrange wings on an aluminum foil-lined baking tray and place baking tray on center rack.
  4. Bake for 35-40 mins, till golden and crisp.  🙂
  5. Serve warm or at room temperature with a salad mix.

It’s really delish; a little sweet, a little salty and a little spicy with a hint of 5-spice..
